Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Lima. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Last updated 5 August 2026
The account
You need an account to use Lima. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You must be at least 16 years old.
Your content stays yours
Everything you put into Lima — tasks, projects, habits, goals, notes — belongs to you. You grant us only the licence we need to operate the service: to store your content, display it back to you, sync it to your devices, and process it for features you have enabled. We claim no ownership over it, and that licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Lima to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- store or distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account;
- send unsolicited bulk messages, or scrape the service beyond what our documented API allows;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of the above, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Plans, billing and trials
The Free plan is free and has no time limit. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, at the price shown when you subscribe. Trials convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel first.
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal — your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate partial periods. If we change prices, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before it applies to them.
Refunds
If something we did broke the service for you, email us and we will make it right. Beyond that, payments are generally non-refundable except where consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
Availability
We work hard to keep Lima available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need to take the service down for maintenance, and we will give notice for anything planned and significant.
Third-party services
Lima connects to services we do not control, such as Google Calendar and Outlook. Those connections are governed by those providers' own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or their decisions about your account with them.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time from settings. We may terminate or suspend an account that materially breaches these terms, or if we are required to by law. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
Disclaimers and liability
Lima is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Lima after that means you accept the new terms.
